As the first generation son of two Portuguese immigrants, I grew up in a town where most people have a family member who works in construction. With  half a dozen family members in the industry, I strive to improve conditions for workers and make their jobs safer. The many hours I have spent working on carpentry projects with my father have taught me the importance of quality work and the value of skilled workers. My roots, combined with my success in engineering and my creativity, make me an asset to any construction project.
